  • Following an interview Mr L Gowings appointed Secretary and Treasurer on the basis of being paid a commission of 10% of gross rates collected plus reasonable out of pocket expenses.   • nuisance of Guy Dickson's cockerels crowing and letter asking him to abate the nuisance.
  • Letter from Dicksons Ltd regarding the need to lop trees in the Avenue. This resulted in lopping even felling of trees, carried out by Dicksons at cost of 16/6d per manday with total cost not exceeding £36.
  • Resolved who should attend meetings - only the owner, or the husband of an owner, of property on Upton Park Estate be allowed to attend and vote at Proprietors meetings. Messrs Brook Hirst & Co were allowed to send a representative.
  • Gerald Martyn,Solicitor, instructed to investigate the deeds (held by Messrs Shone & Pritchard) to Upton Park with a view to ascertaining the legal position of proprietors and if necessary to obtain counsel's opinion on the matter.
