1920s developments opposite the Mill

The 1932 survey revision of the OS shows all five of these properties opposite the Mill although at that date only a few houses had been developed along Mill Lane. The land - outside the covenanted area - was formerly part of Dickson's nursery. Although four of the properties date from the same year or two the assumption is that individual builders were engaged to meet the requirements of each first house owner - the properties all being to very different styles.
