This topic seems to have taken over the Park files for the last few decades - at times a perennial debate - although it may now be RIP - quiet now since 1990.

Many ideas have been raised over the years by those wishing to slow down traffic through the park. The reintroduction of locking the gate with residents having keys has been seriously pursued.

But the humps proposal has led to Park wide referenda on a number of occasions...eg

in 1984 supported by 7 with 35 against.
in 1987/8 supported by 15 with 29 against
in 1989 supported by 18 with 23 against

The 1987/8 referendum addressed the detail..
seeking those favouring 'regulation type', 'jiggle strips' various numbers of each of these etc.
