In the early 1950's with the AGM taking place in the rather grand setting of the garage at Belmont (no:33); the treasurer hastened to add that the chairman had not yet paid last year's rate. At that the residing chairman withdrew the money from his wallet and throwing it on the table then proceeded with the meeting.
